Satirical comedy about the complexities and values of our class system. Lord and Lady Granville who find their own class being invaded and degraded by the influx of the middle classes being raised to the nobility search for a new peer group. Hearing of an emerging underclass they are eager to reach and join them to enhance their own status. Discovering the reality of being a member of the underclass they retreat back to Barclay Manor only to find that their assets have been stripped and find themselves homeless. Having to deal with social security and street life gives them a different perspective on reality.
